I have some exciting news to announce today: I am resigning as co-publisher of Macaroni Kid Pasadena.  I launched Macaroni Kid to Pasadena just over one and half years ago and have enjoyed immensely getting to know my hometown as a parent and being a part of the Macaroni Kid social network of parents nationwide.

My Experience at Amy's Playground

My family just celebrated our 2 year old twins’ birthday last weekend at Amy’s Playground in South Pasadena. It was the perfect place for our friends and family to come together with all of our children. Everyone had a blast and enjoyed the fun yet relaxing atmosphere.  Amy’s Playground is safe, clean, air conditioned and well lit.  In addition to the two jump houses and a giant slide, Amy’s offers a nice variety of activities for kids of different ages.

The Pasadena Symphony Association’s Musical Circus is a perennial favorite for children 3-8 years of age. The popular family program, which reaches some 5000 children and their families yearly from around Southern California, is at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, California. The Circus begins with the instrument “petting zoo” where youngsters can toot flutes, blow trumpets, pluck violins and cellos and bang on percussion instruments. The Musical Circus is hosted by Jamie Shaheen, one of the most sought after singer/pianists who works with many of the best booking agents in Southern California.
