New to this year’s Art & Design Open Marketmix are a pop-up Brown Bag Books bookstore, art making stations with Purple Twig and Remainders Pasadena (kids & adults) and a calming coloring station with “Color Pasadena” by Ali Zigerelli. See website for details.

Saturday, October 29, 10am – 12pm

Get busy with glitter, glue sticks and (washable) markers to create your own Great Pumpkin. Pumpkin supply and spaces limited, available first-come-first-served. And no pumpkin grubbing – one per active decorator.

Screening of “Book of Life”
Sunday, October 30, 7pm

After taking Old Pasadena’s DoD “Tour of Altars” and getting your face paint and fiesta on, head over the courtyard for a free screening of the 2014 animated “Book of Life”, which follows protagonist Manolo’s mythic struggle between following his heart or his familial expectations. From producer Guillermo del Toro and director Jorge Gutierrez, “The Book of Life” offers thrilling visuals to accompany Manolo’s journey through fantastical worlds where he confronts his greatest fears and contends with some funky deities.

Monday, October 31, 5pm – 8pm

Dress up the tots and trot them over to One Colorado for some sweet store-to-store Trick-or-Treating.  And once the candy bag is bulging, pose in our Halloween courtyard milieu for family portrait captured by our photographer extraordinaire.

And on the big screen starting at 7pm
“The Addams Family - Halloween Addams Style” (1965)
+ “Gremlins” (1984)
This 1984 horror-comedy classic stars Phoebe Cates, Judge Reinhold, and as with all 80s horror-comedy movies, Corey Feldman.

And before the feature film, get creeped out with a Halloween episode of the Addams Family.

And that wraps up the October fun at One Colorado. But don't be scared more holiday adventures are in the works.
