Last week I spent an amazing 3 1/2 days in Park City, Utah at the annual Macaroni Kid Meetup. I'm not going to say it was easy to get away - it wasn't. I had to enlist friends to drop off kids at school, take kids for sleepovers, trust my husband to Saturday birthday party duty. It was no small feat. But it was worth it!
Not only was I inspired to do more with my Macaroni Kid business (this means more great things are coming your way), but I had a mom getaway. My husband and kids had to fend without me. I got to remember what it was like to be me - not mom, mom, mom -but ME without the mom attached. I know as moms it's so hard for us to do this. And sometimes means more work to return to when we've been away. But having "me" time, putting mom first for a change is SO important.
With the business of the holiday's quickly creeping up on us I encourage you to take time - even if it's just a moment - just for you.

While I was away - and shortly after I published last weeks newsletter - there was an attack on the Internet. It affected the Macaroni Kid website so I apologize for any trouble you had using it this last week. Also for any trouble you had finding up-to-date info. We are back in business now.
