It's Time for FREE Summer Concerts at Levitt Pavilion

This Week it's Steve's Songs

By Faith Mellinger, Editor/Co-Publisher July 24, 2014

Sitting on blankets, enjoying the summer weather, running up to the stage for spot in the kid pit- yep it's that time again. The FREE Summer Concert series at the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena has begun. Pack up your picnic basket (or purchase dinner from one of the limited food vendors) and find a comfortable spot on the Memorial Park lawn because this week singer songwriter Steve's Songs is taking over on Wednesday, July 30th.

If you're heading out to enjoy the show here are a few Macaroni Mom tips:

  • Parking is available for $5 in the St. Andrews' Church parking lot, and some street parking can be found (if you arrive early for the KidZone be sure to pay attention to the meter rules).
  • A few food vendors are on site, but it's always good to pack snacks - and bubbles! And maybe $4 for a snow cone cause they look delicious (and I promised my son one next time)!
  • Bring a blanket or a low lawn chair. If you want to have a spot close to the stage, plan to get there early. There are some picnic areas and benches available also.
  • The concerts are free and the Levitt Pavilion is a nonprofit organization so if you enjoy the concerts each week it would be mighty generous of you to put a small token of your appreciation in their donation bucket.

The KidZone opens at 5:30 p.m. with lots of fun activities. Concerts start at 7:00 PM and usually run about an hour.  Did I mention that they're FREE?  Don't miss these wonderful family-oriented concerts in the fresh summer air in the heart of Old Town Pasadena.
