July 4th
South Pasadena Fire Department Pancake Breakfast 7am to 11am
- The Kiwanis Club sponsors a Pancake Breakfast at the fire house, with proceeds supporting South Pas youth programs
Sierra Madre Independence Day Parade 10am to 2pm
- Fun Hometown parade down Sierra Madre Boulevard, followed by free swim at the YMCA pool (at the end of the parade route)
South Pasadena Festivities Opening Ceremony 10:30 am
- Kick off the Independence Day events with the theme Hometown Heroes: Celebrating the Spirit of Community
South Pasadena Independence Day Parade 11am to 2:30pm
- 4th of July Festival of Balloons' 40th anniversary Parade from Diamond Avenue to Garfield Park
South Pasadena Party in the Park 12:30 to 2:30pm
- Party in Garfield Park includes games, live DJ and food trucks
Independence Day Concert & Fireworks at SPHS 7pm to 9:30
- Live music from a classic rock cover band, followed by spectacular fireworks
Rose Bowl Soccer Match: LA Galaxy v. LAFC 7:30pm
- You'll need tickets to this soccer rivalry to get into the rose bowl this year, but it will nevertheless be followed by fireworks.
