Almost one in four women will experience depression at some point in their lives. Women are twice as likely as men to experience depression. The Caltech Bands presents the 32nd annual Bandorama. Featured are the Caltech - Occidental Concert Band and the Caltech Jazz Bands directed by William Bing, and guest artists composer Frank Ticheli and singer Kjerstin Williams. The Caltech-Occidental Concert Band has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Great Wall of China.  They have plans for a trip to perform in San Francisco in March of 2013.

Saturday, May 12 - Pasadena Fire Department's Fire Service Day

Meet the dedicated men and women of the Pasadena Fire Department during Fire Service Day! Local fire stations throw open their doors to the public. 
The firefighters at Fire Station 33, 515 N. Lake Ave, will demonstrate life-saving & fire-suppression techniques, including how they put out vehicle fires, rescue motorists using the Jaws of Life & operate their aerial ladders. Fire engines, trucks & other apparatus will be on display. There will be hot dogs & other refreshments along with entertainment.

The Mayor’s bike ride will be an opportunity for the city to come together for a family-friendly bike ride. Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard leads this ride around the historic Rose Bowl. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Join in the community fun of exploring this beautiful Pasadena landmark by bike. This event will include vendors, entertainment, bicycle support from Pasadena Cyclery & prizes for children & adults.
