This week the boys had the week off of school. On Tuesday we ventured in the early hours of the morning to a special sneak peak look at the El Capitan showing of The Good Dinosaur.
We enjoyed the fabulous pre-show featuring classic Disney Pixar characters and ventured downstairs to the Natural History Museum exhibit and took a look at the dinosaur fossils. The movie wasn't what I expected, but it was a good, funny classic Pixar tale of finding family and loyal friends. At times it was a bit scary for my four-year-old but he wanted to see it again when we left. The show runs at the El Capitan through December 13th so you can check it out for yourself.
This Saturday it's time to shop local. At Macaroni Kid we love our local vendors and we've started putting together a local guide of fun places to shop for the holiday season. If you know somewhere that should be added to our list let us know here - and starting December 1st we'll be hosting 12 days of giveaways featuring some of our favorites.
We're also working with some of our local Macaroni Kid Publisher friends to put together a Mom's Night Out Shopping Boutique - we hope you can join us on December 4th for a glass of wine, raffle prizes and a way to support some great small (mostly mom owned) businesses. We hope to see you there.
Of course this month the calendar continues to be PACKED with fun events for the whole family! Be sure to look ahead so you can order tickets and make plans - you don't want to miss out on any Holiday Happenings.
