The Perfect Evening Snack to Make Kids Naturally Drowsy







This yummy snack was developed using ingredients that contain tryptophan and melatonin – elements that make you feel naturally sleepy.  They are also mostly unprocessed, natural foods without added sugar or artificial anything.  Pick them up in bulk from the natural food store and mix up a big batch for those nights when you just can’t wait to get the kids off to bed and enjoy some quiet.





Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups banana chips
  • 1 Cup pistachios
  • 1 Cup dried tart cherries
  • ½ Cup pepitas
  • ½ Cup walnuts
  • 2 Cups mini pretzels

  • 9 small containers each with a 1-cup   capacity and tight lid






Instructions:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss with large salad tongs or freshly washed hands.  
  2. Set out all 9 containers, filling each halfway, then to the top.  Doing all 9 at once allows you to make them each the same level of fullness and to be sure you get an even mixture of ingredients in each jar.
  3. Seal tightly and store in a dry cupboard.  They will last for several   weeks.
