The task of researching and selecting a preschool for our children can be daunting for parents, especially considering the overwhelming number of choices available. Many families are trying to find the perfect fit while navigating through endless information regarding school facilities, personnel and educational philosophies. This process is often filled with hope, trepidation and anxiety.
For the 4th year, MOMS Club of Pasadena and MOMS Club of Pasadena-North have partnered to organize their annual Preschool Fair. This event provides families with valuable and in-depth access to the vast selection of Pasadena area schools. For the members of MOMS Club, we see this as an opportunity to meet two of our core missions. The first is to provide support for mothers in our community. We provide forums related to our children, our home and our family. Our second mission, and a fundamental value of MOMS Club, is to participate in service projects for children throughout the Pasadena area.
The Preschool Fair will be open to everyone in the Pasadena and surrounding communities on January 12, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena (“PazNaz”) 3700 East Sierra Madre Blvd, Pasadena CA 91107. Our event draws in over 600 attendees with schools representing the Pasadena, Altadena, La Canada-Flintridge, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, Alhambra, Monrovia and San Marino communities. The event is held in a convention format, each school is given a station to interact with prospective families and provide information about their respective institutions. Each attendee receives a Preschool Fair program that includes descriptions of all participating schools and a list of our generous sponsors, as well as literature and applications supplied by participating schools. Additionally, MOMS Club of Pasadena will be hosting a silent auction and raffle, with proceeds to benefit Rosemaryʼs Children Services, The Pasadena Museum of History, MOMS Club International Mother-to-Mother Fund, and Elizabeth House.
