Publisher's Note: Travelling With Kids

By Faith Mellinger March 29, 2012
For many, spring break begins Friday. And for many, this is also the start of travel plans. Travelling with children is no easy undertaking. Whether you're planning local activities with the kids or a full fledge vacation we've got a few tips, tricks and travel apps to help you along the way.

We haven't done much travelling with our three boys (under five). Our spring break plans include some local adventures and I can't wait to share about all our fun in upcoming issues of Macaroni Kid Pasadena. In addition to spring break plans, I'm also putting together a few tricks to pull on the family for April Fool's Sunday. I can't wait to see how the boys react to green chocolate milk or dirt (crumbled up cookies) with their lunch. We also added an article with a few suggestions and ideas from another Macaroni Publisher Mom. I'll also be doing some research for summer activity ideas.

It's time to book those summer camps, programs and more! This week we take a look at Cooking Camp in La Canada - a great opportunity for your future Emeril or Rachel Ray. Whether you're in town, or travelling remember to use Macaroni Kid as a resource to keep the kids entertained (you can check out macaronikid.com to see if there is a Macaroni Kid in the area you are visiting).

As we gear up for time off from school and are really looking to keep the family busy, now is a great time to introduce Macaroni Kid to your friends - please share the word about us.We hope you enjoy the calendar and let us know on our Facebook page about your outings.

Thank you for your ongoing support of
